- Can I pre-mix A & B?
- No. Calcium and phosphate bind into insoluble gypsum the moment humidity reaches the combined powder.
- Can acetate go in the pouch?
- No. It is highly hygroscopic and will turn dry minerals into a wet paste in the box. It goes in the reservoir last.
- How much water?
- 8 litres / 2.1 gallons per satchel. Do not add extra powder to the same water — mix a second reservoir.
- Does it work without light?
- No. It is designed for use alongside ambient household lighting, not instead of it.
- Is it a finished product?
- No. DarkGrow is experimental and in active testing. Backing funds development.
- What are the three DarkGrow modifications?
- The DarkGrow concept is based on three coordinated plant-trait modifications designed to improve acetate utilisation, carbon metabolism and continuous growth performance. These traits are intended to work together as a complete system and are evaluated as a combined package rather than individually. The project focuses on researching and validating the overall growth platform rather than any single modification in isolation.
