Mixing guide

Water first.
Then A, then B,
then acetate.

The order below is not a suggestion. Adding the acetate before the minerals are fully dissolved, or combining the dry powders in advance, will ruin the mix.

The liquid collision

Four steps at the sink.

Fill with 8 L

8 litres / 2.1 gallons of water in your bucket or reservoir. Room temperature is fine.

Step 1

Dissolve Pouch A

Empty the whole satchel in and stir until there is no powder left at the bottom.

Step 2 · Complete before B

Dissolve Pouch B

Add B second. The pH buffers activate as it goes into solution.

Step 3 · Buffers active

Add acetate last

Drop the Acetate Carbon Fuel satchel in last to inject the 24-hour carbon source.

Step 4 · Always last
Dry storage

What must never
be mixed early.

✕ Inside the dry pouches

Grow A + Grow B: calcium and sulfur/phosphate bind into insoluble gypsum the moment humidity reaches the combined powder. It forms a chalky crust that will never dissolve.

Acetate + minerals: the acetate is highly hygroscopic. Mixed into dry mineral packs it melts them into a wet, soggy paste inside the shipping box, ruining shelf life and throwing off the pH balancing.

✓ Inside the reservoir

All products together: once the water change starts, every product is designed to blend in the liquid column.

Diluted in eight litres, the water molecules keep the minerals separated and bio-available. This is the only place they should ever meet.

Each satchel is portioned for an 8-litre / 2.1-gallon reservoir. Do not scale up by adding more powder to the same water — mix a second reservoir instead.
