The DarkGrow Kit

Grow plants without
specialised lighting.

A compact, countertop-friendly nutrient system built around a simple idea: feed the plant carefully, use the light you already have, and skip the tent, the array and the bottle collection.

What it is

A dry-powder system,
not a bottle kit.

DarkGrow is a dry-powder nutrient system developed for hydroponic and experimental growing applications. The formula is supplied in lightweight, pre-measured satchels that dissolve directly into water.

Each satchel contains the nutrients needed to support plant development while minimising storage space, shipping cost and mixing complexity. No bulky bottles, no heavy liquid concentrates, no complicated dosing schedules. Mix, feed, grow.

It is aimed at hobbyists, apartment dwellers, students and curious gardeners — people who want to try indoor growing without committing to a full grow-tent setup.

Compatibility

Works with the
systems you have.

Deep Water Culture

Standard DWC buckets and reservoir tubs. One satchel per 8 litres of reservoir volume.

Kratky method

Passive, no-pump setups. Mix the reservoir once and let the water level drop as the plant drinks.

Reservoir systems

Any recirculating or top-up reservoir holding roughly 8 litres per dose.

Educational projects

Compact enough for a classroom or kitchen counter, and cheap enough to run as a class experiment.

Straight answer

What this will
and won’t do.

✓ What it does

Simplifies feeding. Replaces four or five liquid bottles with pre-measured powder satchels, removes measuring and dosing errors, and cuts shipping weight and storage space.

Supplies an additional carbon source so plants can keep metabolising through the dark period of their cycle.

✕ What it doesn't do

It is not a substitute for light. Plants still need light to grow; DarkGrow is designed to work alongside ordinary ambient household lighting rather than a dedicated grow array.

It does not guarantee a result. Growth depends on species, genetics, water quality, temperature and humidity, and outcomes vary considerably.
